A tree raising, beach town style

Before the clouds rolled in on Tuesday afternoon, a city crew worked to convert an Eisenhower Park palm to the Seal Beach holiday evergreen. The tree will be the central attraction at the pierside tree-lighting ceremony on Friday from 4 to 6 pm. The celebration is slated to include carolers, crafts by students of McGaugh Elementary School and a toy drive.

Kate,

Thank you so much for highlighting the Seal Beach Holiday Christmas Tree event! As the VP of the Chamber of Commerce, we are so delighted to work with the City to make a fun event to kick off the shopping season right on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We really appreciate your comments and photos! Keep the great news and updates coming.

Warmly,

Seth

Thank you, Seth! It was such a beautiful calm-before-the-rain day at the pier, it looked like the crew got the tree up just in time. It will be fun to see it all lit up on Friday. Thank you for visiting and joining the conversation at SBD.
