Museum Express Bus starts June 2
The Long Beach Transit Museum Express starts its summertime bus service to Southern California’s major museums and gardens on June 2.
Round trip fare is $7. This year’s destinations include the Bowers Museum; California Science Center; Museum of Natural History; Getty Museum; Getty Villa; Griffith Park Observatory; Hollywood Museum; Huntington Library and Gardens; Descanso Gardens; Laguna Art Museum and Festival of the Arts; Los Angeles County Arboretum; Mission San Juan Capistrano; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Norton Simon Museum; and Skirball Cultural Center.
The museum express runs until August 30. Transit officials suggest booking early because trips to the area’s popular museums sell out quickly. For more information and schedules, visit www.lbtransit.com or call 562-591-2301.
Long Beach Transit also has expanded its AquaLink and AquaBus operating hours to seven days a week for the summer and includes stops at the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific and other local attractions. Press-Telegram.
