Brightest Space Station flyover today LBReport tips us to a great opportunity to see the International Space Station as it hurdles almost directly overhead today between 5:34 and 5:40 p.m. today. Spot it in the northwest sky. “If the sky is clear, this could be one of the longest, highest and brightest Space Station pass-bys of the year,” according to the site. Details at LBreport.
Stim helps Naval Weapons Station go solar A $4.4 million project funded by federal stimulus dollars will include the installation of solar panels on two NWS buildings. Weapons Station energy manager Rick Tiernay told TradingMarkets.com that the project is expected to save $86,000 per year in energy costs. More at tradingmarkets.com.
